pod_together!

Open for sign ups June 18 to June 30 on DW and LJ

I just signed up for pod_together (and you should, too!), even though I'm kind of failing at life right now and falling behind practically every deadline anyone can set for me. But *ahem*, I swear I won't fail out of this! 

God, that was a terrible introduction. Can I start over?

I just signed up for pod_together, and you should, too!

I had so much fun with it last year. I was originally assigned to a dyad (just me and the author), but when that didn't work out I was placed with cantarina1, weimar27, and moragmacpherson. I missed out on the creative collaboration part (I was replacing another podficcer who had to bow out), but we had an incredible time recording together. I pushed the limits of my comfort zone by reading a very animated (and occasionally French-speaking) 10th Doctor, and while weimar and I poked fun at ca'rina for her Canadian pronunciation of "laboratory," (she's totally right, though - there IS an 'o' in the middle) I mangled the Doctor's French and repeatedly mispronounced the word "console." No, seriously, this is an endorsement - when I mangle lines of text alone, it usually results in heavy sighing and cursing. Mangling lines of text with a group results in laughter and blooper reels. SO MUCH BETTER.

I put myself down as willing to work with a group this year, but I'm pretty much open for anything. I'm looking forward to doing more on the creative collaboration side, though. I have a better sense of what my strengths are and what kind of story I'd like to record this time. I have a really good feeling about pod_together 2012. It's going to be awesome.
